Henry secures double podium at Snetterton

Henry enjoyed the best weekend of his Wera Tools F4 British Championship certified by FIA season to date at Snetterton as the talented youngster secured a place on the podium for the first time.

Joslyn went into the third meeting of the season on the back of a triple top ten at Silverstone, which had allowed the Fortec Motorsport racer to climb up the championship standings following a tricky season opener at Donington Park.

Two days of testing prior to the weekend provided Joslyn with the opportunity to get vital mileage under his belt around the high-speed Norfolk circuit, and he ended Friday’s running within three tenths of a second of the quickest time.

Saturday’s qualifying session saw Joslyn secure a place on the front row of the grid for the final race of the weekend as he bagged the second fastest time, with his second quickest time meaning he would also line up in P2 for race one.

Although he dropped a spot early on in the opening encounter of the weekend, Joslyn would run in the top three throughout and eventually took the flag in second spot having spent the second half of the race shadowing leader Adam Al Azhari.

The second race of the weekend would be halted by an incident on the opening lap, with the restart then delayed due a communication issue with the radio systems used to keep race control in contact with trackside marshals.

Once the race did get underway, Joslyn found himself battling hard in the midfield and took the flag in eleventh place as part of a train of cars dicing for sixth.

The final race of the weekend saw Joslyn lose a spot on the opening lap to Martin Molnar, with the teenager spending the entire 25 minute encounter - the longest of the weekend - running in the wheel tracks of the Hungarian racer.

Dropping the chasing pack and ultimately taking the flag more than ten seconds ahead of fourth place, Joslyn picked up a second podium finish of the weekend and has now moved up to seventh in the standings - only missing out on the top six on results count back.

Next up for Joslyn is a trip to the fastest circuit in the UK, Thruxton, in two weeks time.

“It’s great to have finished on the podium in British F4 for the first time - and then to do it again on the same weekend!” he said. “We showed we had the pace across the first two rounds, particularly at Donington Park where we picked up pole position, but we hadn’t really secured the results to match it."

“Getting some silverware under my belt is a big boost in confidence and the goal now is to continue building momentum so we can push to go one better and make it onto the top step for the first time.”
